Customized Inspection Training

This two-day course will include the following:

Quality Processes will report to your facility and review your inspection process for 2 hours.
Show personnel how to inspect your product and inspection processes using the most up-to-date inspection methods.
Explain basic blueprints (condensed).
Explain internal inspection instructions.
Explain use of basic measuring equipment (condensed).

This course is an interactive course using actual production.
Visual inspection will not be taught during this class because of subjectivity.

S.P.C. (Statistical Process Control)

Basic S.P.C.

This three-day course will:

Explain purpose of use.
Identify internal needs for S.P.C.
Explain Upper and Lower Control Limits.
Explain X & R charts.
Explain the difference of Cpk and Ppk (when it is appropriate to use each).
Explain the Z table.
Explain Bell Curves.
Explain conversion of Cpk to P.P.M. (parts per million).

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

This two-day course will:

Define GD&T and explain how it is different from the conventional coordinate system of dimensioning and tolerancing.
Explain the benefits of GD&T.
Give examples of a geometric characteristic.
Explain how a geometric tolerance zone is different from a conventional tolerance zone.
Explain the purpose of a datum and identify datum features on a drawing.
Identify and define a basic dimension.
Explain the difference between maximum material condition and least material condition as they apply to external and internal part features.
Explain the difference between clearance, interference, and transition fits.

This two-day course will:

Distinguish between a detail drawing and an assembly drawing.
Locate information in the title block, revision block, and parts list.
Interpret the drawing scale.
Explain why engineering drawings are generally multi-view drawings.
Identify and explain the purpose of visible lines and hidden lines.
Explain the purpose of dimensions and tolerances.
